In preclinical research, D-Pinitol was shown to support healthy insulin response by reducing plasma insulin levels (Figure A; Navarro J.A. et al., Nutrients. 2020 Jul 8;12(7):2030), acting on the metabolic pathways that underlie healthy aging. In a separate line of preclinical work, D-Pinitol was shown to modulate CDK5 signaling in the brain — a pathway involved in brain aging (Figure B; Medina-Vera et al., Br J Pharmacol. 2022 Oct;179(19):4655–4672). Together, these findings point to a single, naturally-sourced ingredient acting across the systems of healthy aging — with the added value of a clean origin, a well-tolerated profile, and simple use in formulation.
