What the Agelity® insulin signaling study found

This peer-reviewed study, published in Nutrients, investigated how oral administration of Agelity®, Advenion Nutrition’s standardized D-Pinitol ingredient, supports insulin signaling in the hypothalamus through the PI3K/Akt pathway — independently of insulin secretion and insulin-receptor activation. Using an in vivo model, the research reported that Agelity® was associated with greater central insulin sensitivity while lowering circulating insulin levels and maintaining stable glycemia.

The study describes Agelity® as an insulin-efficient metabolic modulator that supports healthy brain insulin signaling and engages key metabolic sensors such as mTOR and AMPK, influencing pathways associated with energy balance and cognitive aging. These findings provide a mechanistic foundation for Agelity® — a standardized, traceable source of D-Pinitol — in metabolic wellness and cognitive aging applications. By evaluating the specific Agelity® ingredient rather than generic D-Pinitol, the study reinforces the value of standardization and analytical control.

The research described above was conducted in a preclinical (animal) model and is intended for scientific and product-development audiences. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Agelity® is an ingredient and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
