What the Agelity® cognitive aging study found
This peer-reviewed study, published in Nutrients, investigated the effects of Agelity®, Advenion Nutrition’s standardized D-Pinitol ingredient, in a preclinical model relevant to cognitive aging. Following chronic oral administration, the study reported that Agelity® was associated with better cognitive performance and with support for healthy brain insulin signaling through the PI3K/Akt pathway.
Beyond the central nervous system, the study described a systemic pattern of activity: Agelity® was associated with more balanced metabolic hormones, lower inflammation-related markers, stronger intestinal barrier integrity, and a favorably modulated gut microbiota. Together, these observations are consistent with support for a healthy gut–brain axis.
These findings position Agelity® — a standardized, traceable source of D-Pinitol — as a multi-target ingredient that supports metabolic, endocrine, and gut–brain balance of relevance for healthy cognitive aging. By evaluating the specific Agelity® ingredient rather than generic D-Pinitol, the study reinforces the value of standardization and analytical control.
The research described above was conducted in a preclinical (animal) model and is intended for scientific and product-development audiences. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Agelity® is an ingredient and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, including Alzheimer’s disease.
